Biotech Momentum Meets a Google AI Shockwave: 4 Stocks Traders Are Watching Now

Published Aug 25, 2026, 3:34 PM

DENVER, Colo. (247marketnews.com) – Yesterday’s biotech momentum is carrying forward, as the three biotechs we covered, Picard Medical (NYSEAMERICAN:PMI), NeOnc Technologies (NASDAQ:NTHI), and CorMedix (NASDAQ:CRMD) continue to move, while Rezolve Ai (NASDAQ:RZLV) has introduced a powerful new AI infrastructure catalyst through Google (NASDAQ:GOOG).

Picard Medical: Artificial Heart Momentum Meets a Fresh Trading Test

Picard Medical (NYSEAMERICAN:PMI) continues to attract attention as its next-generation Emperor Total Artificial Heart program moves forward alongside improving financial results. The company reported second-quarter revenue growth of 39% and a 16% reduction in net loss, while year-to-date revenue increased 50% and gross profit reached approximately $0.9 million. Interim CEO Richard Fang said, “Revenue growth and the improvement in gross profitability reflect progress in our core business.”

The technology catalyst remains the Emperor platform. Picard and its SynCardia subsidiary completed acute in-vivo implant studies of the latest Emperor iteration in June, with the company saying the independent dual-motor ventricular design demonstrated stable full circulatory support across the study procedures. The platform is intended to advance toward a fully implantable artificial heart and build on the architecture of the existing SynCardia Total Artificial Heart.

The commercial backdrop is also becoming more interesting. Picard's first-quarter revenue increased 85% year over year to $1.2 million, with gross profit turning positive and gross margin reaching 24%. The company is attempting to improve manufacturing economics while expanding adoption of its existing artificial-heart technology and simultaneously funding development of Emperor.

For traders, however, PMI is still a technical setup as much as a fundamental story. The stock has smashed through several resistance points and the roughly $16 area is the next obvious level to watch. If PMI can hold a large portion of today's advance and consolidate, a test of that resistance becomes more interesting.

NeOnc Technologies: A Brain-Cancer Readout Turns into a Regulatory Story

NeOnc (NASDAQ: NTHI) may have the most dramatic clinical catalyst of the biotech group. On August 12, the company reported positive topline Phase 2a results for intranasal NEO100 in recurrent IDH1-mutant high-grade glioma. The study reported six-month progression-free survival of 48.9% versus a prespecified 20% historical benchmark, with a reported p-value of 0.0047. NeOnc said it plans to request a Type B FDA meeting to discuss a potential registrational path.

The key issue now is whether the promising Phase 2a data can translate into a credible regulatory pathway. That makes the next FDA interaction potentially as important as the initial data release. NEO100 is being developed for a difficult-to-treat CNS cancer setting where therapeutic delivery and the blood-brain barrier present major challenges, giving a positive clinical signal considerable potential importance if it can be replicated and advanced.

The insider activity adds another layer to the momentum narrative. SEC-related filings show director and Chief Scientific Officer Thomas C. Chen purchased 33,787 shares at a weighted average of $3.8477 on August 14 and another 2,472 shares at $4.0445 on August 17. He also reported a further purchase of 12,757 shares at approximately $5.49 on August 18. Chairman and CEO Amir Heshmatpour has also reported additional purchases in August.

That combination, positive clinical data, a planned FDA interaction and recent insider buying, gives NTHI a classic catalyst-driven setup.

CorMedix: The Biotech Story That Is Already Producing Serious Revenue

CorMedix (NASDAQ: CRMD) recently reported $101.9 million in second-quarter 2026 consolidated revenue, including $66.1 million from DefenCath and $35.8 million from the acquired Melinta portfolio. Net income reached $26.0 million, while adjusted EBITDA came in at $58.7 million.

DefenCath remains the centerpiece. CorMedix has continued expanding adoption among large outpatient dialysis customers and recently signed another multi-year supply agreement with a large dialysis operator. That expanded its commercial contract footprint to all five of the largest U.S. dialysis providers, with the new customer already ordering DefenCath and planning a third-quarter pilot.

The company also has a second catalyst developing behind the commercial business. CorMedix and Mundipharma expect to submit a supplemental New Drug Application for an expanded REZZAYO indication during the third quarter. If accepted, the company anticipates FDA action in the first half of 2027. Management has maintained 2026 revenue guidance of $325 million to $345 million while raising adjusted EBITDA guidance to $125 million to $140 million.

That makes CRMD a different type of momentum name. Instead of asking whether a drug candidate works, investors can now watch prescription/adoption trends, revenue growth, profitability and pipeline expansion. CEO Joseph Todisco said, “CorMedix delivered a strong second quarter, generating $101.9 million in consolidated revenue and $58.7 million of adjusted EBITDA.”

Rezolve Ai: Google Just Gave the AI Story a Bigger Stage

One of the biggest technology headlines of the session belongs to Rezolve Ai (NASDAQ:RZLV), which announced today that Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) selected its proprietary distributed database technology following an extensive technical evaluation, with the technology being deployed within Google Cloud to support indexing and data pipelines behind Google Cloud Web3 blockchain datasets.

The initial deployment is substantial: Rezolve says it covers approximately 100 terabytes across 10 blockchain networks, with each block subjected to six cryptographic checks plus schema, structural and cross-validation procedures before reaching Google's public datasets. For a small-cap AI company, having technology deployed at the infrastructure level of a major cloud platform creates a very different narrative from simply announcing another AI application.

The market opportunity Rezolve is targeting is enormous. The company cites S&P Global Market Intelligence forecasting AI infrastructure spending specifically tied to data ingestion, integration and preparation to grow from $109 billion in 2025 to $295 billion annually by 2030. Rezolve's argument is that as AI agents become increasingly autonomous, the infrastructure underneath them must provide data that is current, accurate and verifiable.

CEO Daniel M. Wagner described Google's selection as “significant independent validation” of Rezolve's technology and infrastructure strategy. The relationship also has history: Google and Rezolve previously announced a strategic partnership under which Google Cloud would resell Rezolve's Brain Suite to retailers. Today's announcement therefore adds an infrastructure dimension to an existing relationship.
