DENVER, Colo. (247marketnews.com) -- Hyperfine (NASDAQ:HYPR) is showing signs that its portable brain-imaging strategy may be moving from an intriguing medical-device concept toward a scalable commercial business.
The company expects third-quarter 2026 revenue of approximately $6.0 million, representing a 53% sequential increase. Even more important, preliminary quarterly revenue is expected to exceed net cash burn for the first time, a milestone suggesting that rising sales are beginning to close the gap with the company's cash-intensive growth model.
CEO Maria Sainz said the results demonstrate that “execution of our commercial strategy is driving meaningful growth,” pointing to new and follow-on health-system orders, expansion across hospital sites, adoption in office-based and mobile settings, and the international rollout of the next-generation Swoop system.
The trajectory is becoming difficult to dismiss. Hyperfine generated $3.9 million in Q1 revenue, up 83% year over year, followed by continued commercial expansion in Q2. Management has now reaffirmed its full-year 2026 revenue target of $20 million to $22 million, representing roughly 55% growth at the midpoint from 2025.
Hyperfine's Swoop portable MRI is designed to bring brain imaging directly to more points of care, rather than requiring patients to be transported to conventional MRI suites. The company has been expanding beyond traditional hospital applications into neurology offices and international markets, while its Optive AI software adds another layer to the platform. Earlier this year, Hyperfine reported European regulatory clearances for its next-generation Swoop system and Optive AI and began commercial activity in India, including deployment at AIIMS New Delhi.
That expansion builds on an already substantial installed base. Hyperfine reported more than 200 Swoop systems globally entering 2026, alongside a direct-sales organization and international distribution network.
The financial picture, however, remains a balancing act. Hyperfine expects approximately $37.9 million in cash and cash equivalents at September 30 and continues to forecast full-year net cash burn of $26 million to $28 million. That is still substantial, but management expects 2026 burn to decline about 10% at the midpoint compared with 2025. The company also previously secured financing intended to extend its cash runway into 2028.
