Innate Pharma Lands Major Lacutamab Lifeline as Phase 3 Push Accelerates

DENVER, Colo. (247marketnews.com) -- Innate Pharma (NASDAQ:IPHA) is entering a potentially pivotal new chapter after announcing plans to advance lacutamab toward the TELLOMAK-3 Phase 3 study following its strategic partnership with Sobi. The deal provides a significant financial catalyst at a critical point in development, with Innate expecting a $75 million upfront payment upon closing and additional near-term development milestones. The company says the proceeds are intended to support TELLOMAK-3 and a planned filing for accelerated approval of lacutamab in Sézary syndrome, while extending its projected cash runway through the third quarter of 2027.

For investors, the significance goes beyond the upfront cash. Lacutamab is a first-in-class anti-KIR3DL2 antibody being developed for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, including Sézary syndrome and mycosis fungoides. The program already carries FDA Fast Track, Breakthrough Therapy and Orphan Drug designations, as well as PRIME designation from the European Medicines Agency. The FDA previously cleared the TELLOMAK-3 protocol to proceed, meaning the latest partnership potentially removes a major financing obstacle standing between the program and its next late-stage milestone.

The timing is particularly interesting because Innate is approaching additional catalysts across its pipeline. The company recently completed enrollment in the Phase 1 dose-escalation portion of its IPH4502 Nectin-4 antibody-drug conjugate program, with preliminary data from 76 patients expected by year-end. That gives investors a second potential value driver while lacutamab moves toward Phase 3.

Innate is also changing leadership as it enters this execution-heavy period. Markus Jensen will become Chief Medical Officer on September 1, succeeding Sonia Quaratino. Jensen joined Innate in 2024 and has served as global clinical lead for key programs, including IPH4502. The company says the appointment is intended to provide continuity as it executes TELLOMAK-3 and advances upcoming clinical milestones.

The Sobi partnership could therefore represent more than a financing transaction, it potentially validates lacutamab's development opportunity while giving Innate additional resources to push toward a regulatory event. With TELLOMAK-3, the anticipated accelerated-approval filing, IPH4502 data and monalizumab developments all contributing to the 2026 catalyst calendar, Innate Pharma has several potential shots on goal as the market looks for
