Olenox Snaps Up Canadian Reserves and Texas Power Potential

DENVER, Colo. (247marketnews.com) — Olenox Industries (NASDAQ:OLOX) is making a bold bet on one of the biggest infrastructure challenges of the AI era: securing the energy needed to power the next generation of computing.

Olenox completed its acquisitions of Wildboy Holdings and IPD Industries, bringing together Canadian natural gas assets and a Texas power-development platform in a strategic push to connect fuel production, electricity generation and computing infrastructure.

The $21.7 million transaction, funded almost entirely with Series F preferred stock convertible into common shares subject to restrictions, gives Olenox a way to expand its energy footprint while limiting its immediate cash outlay.

The assets offer an intriguing starting point. In northeastern British Columbia, Wildboy brings approximately 184,785 acres, a natural gas processing facility with capacity of up to 144 million cubic feet per day, and reported proved developed natural gas reserves of approximately 56.8 billion cubic feet. Olenox estimates the available gas could support an initial power-generation opportunity of up to 50 megawatts, subject to equipment, infrastructure, approvals and operating conditions.

In West Texas, IPD adds a registered 100 MW self-generator development platform near the Waha Hub, a major regional natural gas trading point. Olenox plans to develop generation capacity in stages, aligning investment with customer demand and available capital.

CEO and Chairman Michael McLaren captured the strategy in the company’s announcement: “Power is becoming one of the defining constraints on the growth of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure.” He added: “Together, they position us to capture more value across the chain -- from gas to electricity to computing.”

The International Energy Agency highlighted the growing electricity requirements of data centers as AI adoption accelerates, while technology companies and infrastructure developers increasingly focus on power availability, grid connections and reliable energy supply. For Olenox, controlling fuel resources while developing generation capacity could offer a differentiated route into that market.
