Insiders Buying, Revenue Surging, and the Market Is Watching
DENVER, Colo. (247marketnews.com) -- The market is once again rewarding companies that can produce a combination of real operating progress, identifiable catalysts and a credible path to growth, including NeOnc (NASDAQ:NTHI), Profusa (NASDAQ:PFSA), CorMedix (NASDAQ:CRMD), IP Strategy (NASDAQ:IPST), Haemonetics (NYSE:HAE), Heartflow (NASDAQ:HTFL), and FreeCast (NASDAQ:CAST).
NeOnc Technologies Holdings
NeOnc (NASDAQ:NTHI) is putting another insider-buying signal on the tape. CEO, President and Director Amir Heshmatpour reported an August 18 purchase of 9,000 shares at $5.54 per share, adding to his recent open-market purchases. The filing shows Heshmatpour beneficially owns shares directly as well as through entities including HCWG LLC, KIG LLC and AFH Holdings & Advisory, LLC.
The significance is less about the size of one transaction and more about the continuing pattern. NeOnc previously disclosed that Heshmatpour had purchased more than $500,000 of NTHI shares in the open market, with the company explicitly connecting that purchase to his conviction in NeOnc's long-term opportunity and clinical direction. The latest purchase adds another data point to that insider-confidence narrative.
The timing is especially notable because NTHI is transitioning from a clinical-development story into a potentially much more consequential regulatory phase. NeOnc's NEO100 program has been the company's principal catalyst, with the company previously reporting encouraging historical data and completing enrollment in its Phase 2a study for IDH1-mutant recurrent high-grade glioma. NeOnc has said it expects the Phase 2a data to help determine its next regulatory steps.
For the market, the question is becoming increasingly straightforward: Can NeOnc convert clinical progress into a registrational pathway and ultimately commercial value? Insider buying does not guarantee that outcome, but repeated open-market purchases from the CEO provide investors with a concrete corporate action to watch as the company's clinical and regulatory story develops.
Profusa
Profusa (NASDAQ:PFSA) is coming through a significant capital-structure event after implementing a 1-for-4 reverse stock split effective August 17. The company said the split would consolidate every four shares into one, with the common stock continuing to trade under the PFSA ticker and a new CUSIP.
The reverse split reduces the number of outstanding shares while leaving the authorized share count unchanged at 601 million, according to the company's announcement. Profusa said the outstanding share count would fall from approximately 2.42 million shares to roughly 605,726 shares following the transaction.
That creates an important new trading setup, as reverse splits can materially change the dynamics of a low-float security, but they do not by themselves change the underlying economics of a company. In Profusa's case, the corporate story remains centered on its tissue-integrated biosensor platform and digital-health technology designed to continuously monitor biochemical information.
The company has also faced Nasdaq compliance challenges, making the capital-structure reset particularly important to investors watching PFSA. Profusa's 2025 annual filing documented previous efforts to regain compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid-price requirements, including an earlier 1-for-75 reverse split in February 2026. The market will therefore be watching closely to see whether the latest restructuring supports a more durable trading and listing position.
CorMedix Therapeutics
CorMedix (NASDAQ:CRMD) is increasingly looking like a specialty-pharma growth story rather than a one-product biotech trade. The company has been building commercial momentum around DefenCath while simultaneously developing additional opportunities for REZZAYO and expanding its broader commercial platform.
The company's first-quarter results already showed the scale of that transformation, with $127.4 million in net revenue, $38.6 million in net income and $70.0 million in adjusted EBITDA. DefenCath alone contributed $97.5 million of first-quarter revenue. The company subsequently moved into its second-quarter reporting cycle with investors focused on continued DefenCath utilization and the expanding commercial footprint.
The bigger strategic catalyst may be the combination of DefenCath's commercial expansion and the potential broader indication for REZZAYO. CorMedix announced positive topline Phase III RESPECT results in April evaluating REZZAYO for prophylaxis against invasive fungal diseases in certain stem-cell transplant patients. A successful regulatory expansion could significantly increase the addressable market for the product.
That gives CRMD multiple potential drivers: commercial execution, expanding DefenCath adoption, the Melinta portfolio, and a potentially meaningful regulatory opportunity for REZZAYO. The story is no longer simply whether CorMedix can sell DefenCath; the larger question is how large and profitable the company can make the platform it is building around its current products and pipeline.
IP Strategy Holdings
IP Strategy (NASDAQ:IPST) remains one of the more unusual public-market stories because its corporate strategy is closely tied to the $DATA token and blockchain-based intellectual property infrastructure. The company has positioned itself as the first public company to adopt a treasury reserve policy centered on $DATA, following the transition from $IP to the DATA Network.
The operational story extends beyond simply holding digital assets. IP Strategy has been operating a validator business on the DATA Network, reporting 99.98% validator uptime during June and approximately 2.47 million cumulative $DATA tokens earned from staking since September 2025. The company reported 32.9 million unlocked $DATA tokens staked as of June 30.
That creates an important distinction for investors: IPST's thesis increasingly depends on whether its digital-asset treasury and validator operations can translate into sustainable economic activity rather than simply token-price appreciation. The company has described the validator operation as a recurring revenue opportunity, with management estimating potential annual token generation based on current staking yields. Those estimates, however, depend heavily on future network conditions and token economics.
The broader DATA Network transition is another piece of the puzzle. IP Strategy highlighted the launch of DATA Network and its focus on AI-training data as a form of intellectual property, potentially placing the company at the intersection of AI, data ownership, blockchain infrastructure and digital assets. For traders, that combination makes IPST a high-volatility story with several moving parts—and potentially significant sensitivity to both corporate execution and the underlying digital-asset ecosystem.
Haemonetics Corporation
Haemonetics (NYSE:HAE) continues to sit near the upper end of its recent trading range as investors digest a steady stream of operational and product developments. The company operates in blood management and medical technology, giving the stock exposure to healthcare spending and procedure volumes rather than the binary clinical risk associated with early-stage biotech.
The company's recent corporate calendar has included its fiscal 2027 first-quarter results, updates to its financial reporting segments and continued product development. Haemonetics has also highlighted regulatory progress, including FDA approval for expanded labeling of the VASCADE MVP XL venous vascular closure system earlier this year.
That combination matters because investors tend to reward medical-device companies when innovation can be translated into broader indications, higher utilization and recurring commercial demand. Haemonetics' portfolio spans blood collection, plasma, cell salvage and vascular closure technologies, providing multiple channels for continued operating performance.
With NYSE: HAE trading near its new 52-week high, the next catalysts will be continued execution, product adoption and financial performance rather than a single binary clinical event.
Heartflow
Heartflow (NASDAQ:HTFL) has delivered one of the more visible AI-healthcare growth stories in the current market. The company uses AI to help diagnose and manage coronary artery disease, and its recent financial performance has given investors a much more tangible way to measure adoption.
Heartflow's second-quarter results were reported with $64.1 million in revenue, representing 48% year-over-year growth, while the company raised its 2026 revenue guidance to approximately $246 million to $250 million, implying roughly 40% to 42% growth for the year. The updated guidance followed a strong quarter and represents a meaningful increase from its prior outlook.
Management has also pointed to Plaque as an increasingly important second growth engine alongside its established FFRCT business. CEO John Farquhar said the company's second quarter reflected “the growing strength of Heartflow's category leadership and unique AI technology platform,” while highlighting continued growth in the CCTA market and improving operating leverage.
The investment narrative around NASDAQ: HTFL therefore extends beyond the AI label. Heartflow is attempting to demonstrate that AI can become a scalable healthcare infrastructure business with recurring clinical use, expanding physician adoption and increasing reimbursement coverage. The latest results suggest the commercial story is gaining momentum, while the raised guidance gives investors a new benchmark against which future execution can be measured.
FreeCast
FreeCast (NASDAQ:CAST) is attempting to turn the fragmented financial-media ecosystem into a new streaming opportunity with its planned relaunch of Investor News Channel as a 24/7 global FAST network. The company announced August 18 that it has acquired full control of Investor News Channel and is targeting a November 2026 launch.
The proposed channel is designed to go well beyond traditional stock-market programming. FreeCast says the lineup will encompass financial markets, CEO and founder interviews, corporate documentaries, business and legal programming, innovation, entrepreneurship, investment commentary and other business-focused content. The company also plans to open the platform to outside content providers.
That is where the strategy becomes particularly interesting. Rather than relying exclusively on FreeCast-produced programming, the company wants to aggregate existing financial and business content and create an additional distribution and monetization channel for publishers, analysts, investor-relations organizations, documentary producers and independent creators.
CEO and founder William A. Mobley said: “The Investor News Channel gives us the opportunity to aggregate that content into a true 24/7 global television experience.” He also described the opportunity to give financial and business-content creators “another audience, another distribution platform and, importantly, another opportunity to monetize what they have already created.”
For CAST, the potential story is therefore larger than the relaunch of a single channel. FreeCast is attempting to connect streaming distribution, advertising, content aggregation and financial media into one ecosystem. The November launch target now gives the market a concrete milestone to watch and puts execution, content partnerships and audience growth squarely in the spotlight.
